On November 4 we took the 60 Ford Starliner and the 65 Thunderbird to the Mohave county Sheriff's car show in Fort Mohave about 100 miles from the house. Last year the Starliner won the Fireman's Pick award and is featured on this years T-Shirt.  The T-Shirt has last years winners and all the K-9 dogs that this car show helps support. 50  This is the first outing and car show for the Thunderbird and on the way over the fuel delivery system failed (FiTech) and we had to put it into the car trailer to bring it the rest of the way.  It was a little overcast and cool but Karen and Charley enjoyed the show.  3 Pictures below are some of the cars at the show.  This 50 Studebaker won an award.  58 Edsel is another award winner.  My Daughter (Michelle), Son in-law (Bobby) and Granddaughter (Dani) came from Coeur d' Alene Idaho. Sunday OCT. 5 we drove the Starliner to Mohave Valley (about 70 miles) for the Sheriffs K9 benefit car show.  There is a verity of different cars that show up.  Local jeeps nicely done  Nice restored Edsel.  The Sheriff deputies put police dog demonstrations during the day this dog is still in training.  This 41 convertible won the store owner award.  There were only 3 awards given by the store owner, Fire Dept. and Sheriff Dept. so out of the over 100 cars that were there we won the Fire Dept. award.

In August we had planed a trip to Coeur d' Alene Idaho to met up and visit with my daughter and grand kids and Karen's daughter and her grand kids it turned out that the Good Guy's car show in Spokane was at the same time and decided to take the Starliner for the 3 day show. The trip was 22 hours of driving and 1800 miles one way (long trip.) Spokane is about 30 miles from Coeur d' Alene and I would drive the Starliner to the show each day. Friday morning I picked up my son in law and drove to Spokane for the first day, all went well.  The Spokane Fair Grounds is very nice with lots of trees and grass and we got the car parked and cleaned then went for a walk to see the other cars.  Took very few pictures on Friday as we would have 2 more days for them and Saturday has the most cars at the show.  This is a DeSoto 2 door with a Fire Dome (hemi) in it.
