REBUILD ENGINE FOR THE 1947 HUDSON

In January we had saved enough money to have the 47 Hudson engine rebuilt with a quote of $4,000.00 (max) from Bailey's automotive machine in Mesa AZ. who had been recommended to me by EGGIE old car parts at the SEMA show.
The engine compartment will remain original with all the factory tags on it.
The radiator and heater core has already been rebuilt.
Lots of pictures were taken and all wires and lines tagged before the engine was pulled.
There was only one broken stud in the manifold that has been replaced.
The engine compartment and all of the under side of the car was power washed then all the wiring was repaired.
On July 7, 2013 we delivered the engine to Bailey's. He was able to save the pistons, rods and babbitt (main bearings & rods) but the valves, lifters, camshaft and some other parts had to be manufactured so it has taken 3 months to get all the parts. The engine will be picked up this week and Bailey's kept it under budget.
