Good Guys Back to Back Shows

At the end of March we took the Kaiser to the Good Guys indoor show in Pleasanton CA.  The building we were in was very dark so most of the pictures we took did not come out.  The Kaiser got a lot of interest with some that had never seen one before.  We received an award of Excellence for participating and had a nice visit with a friend I had worked with years ago.  We liked the fairground RV Park, they have a great dog area.

April 5, 6 & 7th we went to the Good Guys Del Mar show and again stayed at he Fairgrounds RV Park with another great dog area.  The people next to us in the motor home on the left Ron and Trish Bartolomei were very nice and we were parked next to each other in the show so we had a lot of time to visit.

On Thursday we waited in line for 2 hours along with Ron's Pro street 63 Chevy Nova wagon that he made into a panel truck.  Karen spent the time by chatting with other people waiting in line.

We spent that afternoon setting up and cleaning the Kaiser as did Ron with his blown big block next to us.  Lots of great cars in two buildings but again dark so our camera did not do very well.

How about this T bucket with 2 fords and 4 blowers.

We also met a nice couple Steve and Darla Mc Dowell from Pine AZ that were also in the RV  Park (2 spaces away from us) with a 1970 Ford Mustang that they brought at Barret Jackson auction.

The weather was cold and foggy at night but warmed up during the day.  Then Sunday night it started to drizzle with rain and heavy winds all the way home.

Had a good time, met some nice people and received a participant award of excellence.  We are not sure that we will return to Del Mar.  Next its off to the AVI Casino show in Laughlin.
