GoodGuys Car Show (Scottsdale)

Last November (2009) we loaded the Starliner into the new car hauler and went to the Good Guys Southwest Nationals in Scottsdale Arizona. The show was held at west world that has an RV area with hookups that can accommodate our 48' trailer which is a concern as the truck and trailer are 65' long making it difficult to go into regular RV parks. We spent 3 days there with the dogs and were very please with our trailer.

We did not win anything but, enjoyed the event very much with around 2000 cars to look at and a large vendor area.

In March 2010 we went again to the 1st Spring get together at West World and again enjoyed it very much. This time we visited several hot rod builders hoping to find one that would finish and paint the Kaiser.

After some deliberation we selected Hot Rods by Dean who took an interest in the Kaiser and provided an estimate with a build time of 4 months. So the following week we loaded up the Kaiser and delivered her to Dean see Hotrodsbydean.com

First thing on the agenda was to fix the rear suicide door hinges that flexed and fit all 4 doors. They discovered the door latches were badly worn, removed them and delivered them to a new found Friend Larry Barker who has a lot of Kaisers and parts "the Kaiser Store" and Larry repaired 3 of the latches and replaced one. You can find Larry's store at The Kaiser store
he is located in Peoria Arizona next to Phoenix.

On May 1st and 2nd we will be taking the Starliner on the annual "Route 66 Fun Run" from Seligman to Kingman and then onto to Golden Shores with her new tires installed last week.
