Update on T-Birds

New [Old] T-Bird 66 Now I have 3 66 (3windows) T-Birds. Spent 4 days getting the blue one running. This one has A/C, power vent windows, and power seats. Hopefully, it will be a driver. Started on the Kaiser -T-Bird floor pan installation. Picture shows the T-Bird floorpan in Kaiser before cutting.

Went to visit old friends and family. Friday, spent the day with an old high school friend. He collects old trucks and Jags. Had absolutely wonderful time visiting and he wanted to catch up with a really old time friend I hadn't seen for over 40 years. 40 Ford One Ton Truck 196? Jaguar with v 12 1949 -50 Ford 1 1/2 ton flatbed 194? 1 1/2 ton Military support vehicle for Chuck Yaeger when he broke the sound barrier. Off we went to visit Fred Stokes and his world largest Oil Can Collection (over 7,000 cans). He has a car show each year and you can visit a photo album of 2006 and 2007 shows Mr. F. Stokes oil can collection considered to be the largest in the world. 1932 Roadster with a stroker small block chevy. 32 Roadster with a super charged Hemi in it. Spent Saturday helping one of my sons put a motor in his bronco while Karen visited with her daughter and went shopping. Finding clothes here in Kingman for a six foot tall wife isn't fun. Went on the Fun Run Saturday and it was a blast driving from Seligman to Kingman Arizona. Next morning when I warmed up the car for Sunday run from Kingman to Topak, thru Oatman there was no reverse, so we had to take a different car. Monday, I pulled the transmission and Tuesday took it to TIM DEAL TRANSMISSIONS in Huntington Beach, CA. (714)848 5504. He found the shifting plunger located in the valve body, had slipped out of the shift lever. The shift linkage is worn and a little sloppy in the car and when put in Park it traveled past the position and allowed the plunger to slip out of the shift lever fork. Tim found nothing else wrong and put the tranny back together so I would not have to make a 2nd run to LA. I made a bracket to limit the travel of the shifter arm and tightened up the linkage.
