Sacramento Autorama Show
We took the 53 Kaiser to the Autorama in Sacramento CA a 600 mile trip one way so we left a day early February 12th and spent the 1st night at a KOA campground in Visilia CA arriving at the Cal Expo RV Park on Wednesday Afternoon. We had a move in time on Thursday of 12 noon to 2 pm to take the Kaiser into the building and spent the afternoon putting down the carpet, positioning the car, cleaning and set-up the display. The show was open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with the judging, as we found out later, done mostly after show hours. This was the first car show that we have attended where the cars are judged by the International Show Car Association (ISCA) rules and we were required to leave the doors, hood, and trunk open, we didn't so the Kaiser was not judged for the interior, engine, or trunk and we placed 3rd in the mild hardtop category and received a plaque.
